The real reason why you're stuck in writing is you.

A practical 3-month space where the writer disappears and the book finally comes through.

Practicalities

Where the writer disappears

You’ve tried writing from the heart. You’ve tried thinking it through. More discipline. More clarity. Still, the book won’t come. Not because you’re not doing enough, but because you’re in the way.

When you, the writer, disappear, the book can finally move. It breathes again. Until then, the process stays blocked. It never really begins, or it breaks somewhere in the middle.

This is where that ends.

When I gave up authorship, the books rapidly took over

Why you haven't written or finished "yours" yet

Are you tired of:

Once the writer steps aside, you’re free to…

Starting and stalling over and over again?

Feel the writing move without interference.

Carrying something important you can’t get out?

Give it a unique shape without forcing it.

Doubting what you write before it even lands?

Trust what comes through without hesitation.

Thinking about the book more than writing it?

Surrender to it without circling it endlessly.

Wondering if this will ever happen?

Let it happen without pushing or proving.

Where's the author?

I’m Youri Hermes. I started writing in 2023, and now I’m publishing my fourth book. You might think writing is my main job. It’s not. It just happens to be something I do on the side, and you could too.

I know from first-hand experience that as long as we believe we write the books, they never come out as they should. My approach is completely different. I call it writing without the writer, and it changes everything.

“I love everything about this; it’s bloody brilliant and better than the book marketing expert I once paid to listen to. This way is 100% a mirror of my experience writing 3 books. Sometimes I think Youri is a reincarnation of Lao Tzu :)”
Katrijn van Oudheusden
"Youri makes a compelling case for how writing can flow when we stop trying to be a writer. Worth your time, especially amidst the noise of endless advice on how to 'make it.' The Lao Tzu of long-form expression. What a gift."
JJ Vega
"Youri opens a fresh path for aspiring authors. His view on writing echoes Vedic and Advait traditions, where no one claims authorship. He invites you to write the book that's been waiting, in a way that brings uncaused joy"
Vinod Kad

The W-W-W shift that lets the book speak

Writing

Not something to force.
It flows when you stop
trying to shape it.

Without

No pushing. No planning.
Just space for the book
to show itself.

Writer

The one who doubts,
controls, hesitates, perfects.
We set that down.

Neither control nor surrender works when the self is still leading...

The self-led way

The selfless way

Writing from the head

Writing from the heart

Precise time blocks and schedules

Waiting for inspiration to strike

Forcing the words to come

Hoping they’ll arrive when you’re “aligned”

Sticking to your plan

Dismantling all structure

Caught in self-awareness

Obsessed with serving others

Needing to finish

Disconnected from direction

Both paths seem different, but they’re driven by the same thing: a self trying to write. One tightens the grip, the other tries to let go. But as long as the writer is still at the center, the book can’t move.

This program offers a self-less way, with the hyphen. Not a better version of you. Not a softer strategy. But the quiet absence of the one who tries. When the writer disappears, the book begins.

A finished book

No more abandoned drafts or waiting for the right moment.

A book that feels right

No more struggling to put your message into words.

A book that attracts readers

No more forcing, the right readers find it naturally.

"Youri really helped me moving again. I enjoyed the attention, the questions and the talks. I appreciate Youri mostly for the time he gave me to develop my answers from a place of letting go and just be. I wasn't aware my answers still needed that much attention."

"The trajectory with Youri was extremely valuable to me. Bringing up my issue and receiving immediate feedback was both inspiring and constructive. The questions made me think about my challenge in a different way and provided me with tremendous insight. I valued the broad and deep knowledge of the subject."

8 practical themes to explore while writing without trying to write

What do you already have? Not just published or as a draft, but lingering inside of you?

What do you already have? Not just published or as a draft, but lingering inside of you?

How do you set up a highly customized chatbot rooted in your writing style?

How do you organically develop your audience before publishing your book?

How do you decide your final structure and get it ready to publish?

How do you create an appealing cover and visuals for in your book?

How to bring everything together and turn it into a manuscript you can use?

How can you publish your book yourself and make it fully accessible, without frills?

Not fully ready for book mentoring yet? Perfect, that might indicate it's for you.

This isn’t about forcing a book into existence. It’s about allowing it to unfold through practical phases I went through myself.

I’m Youri Hermes, working on publishing my fourth book, having started just a few years ago. You want to share something that comes through you. Sure, AI can refine your input, but by no means should you rely on it. Writing is about presence, not automation.

Publishing a book helps you gain clarity on your preferred topic and style. It also provides something tangible to share or sell. A book is one of the most reliable ways for people unfamiliar with you to learn about your work, often leading to new coaching opportunities.

For any (aspiring) nondual coach, having a book is essential. Those who say otherwise often aren’t authors themselves. A book naturally positions you as someone with something to say, rather than someone trying to prove themselves.

I never set out to write a book, but once it happened, it led to many unexpected opportunities. It allowed me to refine my ideas, connect with the right people, and, of course, attract new coaching clients.
